| This course aims to | Promote understanding of your own dyslexia Motivate and enhance higher self-esteem Encourage and enforce confidence Draw out your own strategies for coping Investigate new strategies for coping Develop the tools to promote ongoing strategies |
| It is for | Those who have identified
that they are dyslexic or think they may be dyslexic. On the course: You will be introduced to dyslexia in a positive way, focusing on what you CAN do while acknowledging the problems you have. You will learn how to develop new strategies to cope with your dyslexia. You will improve your ability to LEARN and EARN with fulfilment and satisfaction. You will gain confidence and enhance your self-esteem. |
| By the end of the course | You will have strategies in place to cope with work or study. You will feel confident in your ability to develop further strategies for each new situation you will face. Accreditation offered: OCN accreditation at level 1 or 2 Please bring to the first session: Pen, Pencil and Note Pad What next? Confidence Building Workshop - Thursday March 15th 6.30 - 8.30 pm. Cost £5 or £2 for members book in advance
The Numeracy for dyslexics courses will be held on Friday mornings 9.45 am to 12.15 pm starting on 12th January 2007
All students will be working towards the National tests levels 1 & 2.
These courses will be run for a year in small groups of about 8 students.
The Literacy for dyslexics course will be held on Monday mornings 9.30 am to
12.30 pm starting on 22nd January 2007

Learning to Succeed — coping with dyslexia
The new course will be starting on the 1st March 2007.
The course will be held on Thursdays 9.30 am - 2.30 pm for 14 weeks.
Cost £10 deposit returnable on completion of the course.
All courses will be held at the DACE teaching centre in Newhaven.
